Kevin Hart’s - Let Me Explain New Trailer

I know what I’m going to be doing 4th of July weekend.

Mac Miller - Watching Movies

This jawn is off his upcoming album. The interweb is buzzing with only good reviews.

During the NBA finals Jay released this 3 minute commercial announcing his new album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, dropping July 4th. The album is free for the first million Samsung Galaxy S3, S4 and Note II users who download through an app they’ll receive later this month.

This project is exciting for a few reasons…one being I didn’t know it was coming, two it has a team of notable producers including Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, Pharrell and Rick Rubin, and three Jay is setting a trend by releasing it to Samsung users 72 hours before the rest of the world can get their hands on it. He’s experimenting with how the album will be shared through technology. Kudos for him for trying something new.

J. Cole Ft. Jhene Aiko – “Sparks Will Fly”

I get it, relationships aren’t perfect, gawd knows, I get that. I am a J. Cole fan and I appreciate him and his new album. But damn if every rapper doesn’t do this same song about a down ass chick that they love but they cheat on because shit aint perfect and their life has temptations in it. Fittin to go listen to The Warm Up.

Chrisette Michelle - Love Won’t Leave Me

This track just reminded me why I was digging her in the first place. Love won’t leave me is a track off Michelle’s just released 4th album. It’s a motivational song about opening up to giving love another try even after you’ve experienced heartbreak. Everyone could use a little bit of this motivation.

The Dream - “Too Early” ft The Roots & Gary Clark Jr.

I imagine The Dream as being a dick. I don’t even have a reason to think that, that’s just how I always imagined him, so I don’t give much effort into listening to his shit, but the blogosphere says he’s a musical genuis and he just might be. This video got some play time today because The Roots name is attached to it. I can’t front…I dig it like I dig cherry cider. Perhaps I shall give The Dream more foreplay (wink wink, see what I did there?)

Lianne La Havas - Lost and Found | A Nokia Lumia Live Session

Lianne sings Lost & Found in front of a live audience at a trendy skate park, stripped of any over production it comes out raw and emotional just like it should be.

Rotimi - Only Human

Who knew this guy could sing? I only knew this guy as the guy with a bad rep trying to go good while he stayed faithful to his drug addicted cheating girlfriend in the Starz drama, Boss, which I hear was recently canceled. Blarg! I guess I’ll have to keep tuning in to the tamer House of Cards and Scandel to get my political thriller fix on. Rotimi will also be starring in an upcoming movie based off of a 3 book, book series titled Divergent. If you dig The Hunger Games then definitely read up on this series.

I was directed to this guys Soundcloud today and I was digging this first track so I thought I’d share it. He can definitely sing and his message  surely gets through regarding a relationship where he knows the girl deserves better than him because he is confident he’s going to fuck it up. If we were all this honest maybe there’d be a ton of less heartbreak in the world. I listened to a few more tracks down his Soundlcoud page and they got cheesier to me but if his newer music has a similar sound to this most current track then I’ll def be on the lookout for more.

Big K.R.I.T.’s ‘Bigger Picture’

This is one of my favorite tracks off his last project, which is saying a lot because the whole project was pretty much on point.

Directed by Marc Ecko, this video literally shows a bigger picture of K.R.I.T. and his girl at varying heights through the lens of what we will assume is God’s camera. soulbounce.com

Anya Kvitka - Maybe

If you like jazzy music you’ll dig this jawn.
